A blind tasting with friends usually ends in scraps of paper, one person who knows the answers and struggles to keep a straight face, and no tally afterwards. Guesses and points turn into arguments, and by the next time it is all forgotten.
I Glasset
Taste blind. Guess. Compare.
I Glasset is an app for blind tastings of wine, whisky and whatever else ends up in the glass. The host builds the tasting, guests join with a code on their own phones, everyone scores blind and guesses for points — and every reveal puts the bottle on every screen. No account, no server. The tasting is shared directly between the phones in the room over your own Wi-Fi.
The host's phone is the server. Until a glass is revealed it sends guests nothing but its position — no name, no price, no photo — and it scores every guess against its own answer key. Results, top tastings and a taste profile stay on the phone, and groups keep the standings from one evening to the next.

How it was built
Designed, built, and shipped end to end.
- The host builds the tasting, guests join with a code
- Everyone scores blind and guesses grape, country, vintage and price for points
- Every reveal puts the bottle photo on every phone in the room
- Groups with standings, spend and records from evening to evening
- Your top tastings and your taste profile — kept on the phone
- No account, no server and no data collection — the tasting is shared phone to phone over local Wi-Fi
- The blind is enforced at the point of sending: a guest's phone is told nothing about a glass until it is revealed
- Points are awarded by the host's phone from its own answer key
- Old tastings and their photos open with no network at all
